SEEKING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Arizona Human Rights Fund (AHRF) Board of Directors seeks individual with supervisory and management skills to manage and direct all fundraising and development activities as well as administer budget preparation and oversight.

Will represent agency to media and legislature as part of public relations/advocacy and communications duties. Responsible for developing materials for Board of Director and Committee meetings and for long range planning.

Four years experience in nonprofit or political management or equivalent is required. Skill in grant writing, donor solicitation and fundraising. Experience with budget development and implementation. Background working with persons from diverse racial, ethnic, cultural, socio-economic, spiritual, political and religious backgrounds. Strong written and oral communication skills, lobbying experience. Flexibility regarding time schedule and multiple tasks.

Demonstrate commitment and ability to work well with GLBT community and outside as an advocate for those communities.

Many evening and weekend meetings. Time and schedule required will vary greatly. Salary is $50,000-$75,000 per year inclusive of benefits, commensurate with experience and qualifications. AHRF is the political advocacy organization of the Arizona Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender community.
